a Bosch quote for today
September 22, 2008
What is it that we have to communicate to Western “post-Christian” public? It seems to me that we must demonstrate the role that plausibility structures, or, rather, worldviews, play in people’s lives. This is best illustrated when people undergo a change in worldview, something we may describe, phenomenologically at least, as conversion. We hold our worldviews implicitly; that means we are often not consciously aware of them. However, when they change, we realize something of the grip they used to have on us.
